Daley Blind – 6 – Tasked with a defensive full-back role, Blind was solid if uninspiring. Did well to restrain the usually potent Sadio Mane. Ander Herrera – 8 – United’s best outfield player. The Spaniard was a calm and composed presence in midfield who dictated much of the game. The Red Devils best chances went through him. 13 13 13 Chris Smalling – 6 – Continued his solid partnership with Bailly, but was rarely tested against a Liverpool attack who failed to show their usual attacking flair. Liverpool and Manchester United played out a bore draw at Anfield on Monday night, with both teams sharing the spoils in a 0-0 draw.The hosts had the two best chances, David de Gea twice saving well from Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho, whilst United went close through a Zlatan Ibrahimovic header sent wide by the Swede.The result means the Reds failed to move to the same points as first place Manchester City, although they are now just two points behind the league leaders.The Red Devils closed the gap to their local rivals to five points with the draw – which, all in all, was a good result for Jose Mourinho’s side.But just how did Mourinho’s men perform at Anfield?Click the right arrow, above, to see talkSPORT’s player ratings for Manchester United… Paul Pogba – 5 – Still struggling to make an impact in the Premier League. He was strong in the air, but lacks the composure of the best passers, and does not appear to possess the talent to change a game with one key piece of play. 13 Substitute: Wayne Rooney – 5 – Offered nothing after coming into the game, spending more time in his own half than looking to attack. 13 13 Antonio Valencia – 7 – Made one glorious last ditch tackled to prevent a clear chance on goal. Diligently completed other tasks expected of him, but still a fear he will his lack of defensive nous will be shown up against better opponents. Marcus Rashford – 5 – The youngster appeared overawed by the occasion, with his first three contributions to the match all being errors. Although he grew into the match, there was noticeable impact. 13 13 13 13 David de Gea – 8 – Made one outstanding save 60 minutes in, before following that up with a second incredible stop from Coutinho. Showed his class with two moments of quality despite being tested rarely. Successfully helped shut down Liverpool’s marauding full-backs, but did not create any chances of note. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 5 – A static presence who failed to get into the game due to United’s defensive set-up. Offered no counter threat, and wasted his one clear chance – a header sent wide of the goal. 13 Marouane Fellaini – 6 – Solid in the midfield and fulfilled the role expected of him with ease.
